BSB Manufacturing Sponsor Appreciation Night

6-1-13 MAYETTA, KS. Mother nature had not really cooperated this week but a huge effort was put forth resulting in an excellent racing surface and an absolute fantastic show. Over 6” inches of rain had fallen on the racetrack during the week, causing extra effort to be put forth to get the show in. BSB Maufacturing joined fans and racers for a sponsor appreciation night at the Xtreme Motor Sports Clash on the Hill.

In the Casey’s General Store IMCA Sport Compact Division Wade Heller has been the man to beat as he  once again showed the way to victory lane. Wade was followed by Rich Eacret, Alex Boyden, Danie Ziegler, and Brandon Lodbell.

The Kansas National Guard IMCA Hobby Stocks would see the lead swap hands several different times. The eventual finish was way too close for this announcer to call. Transponders were checked before a winner was determined. Brian Stich won the A Feature by mere inches. Patrick Thyfault finished with a strong second. Rounding out the top five were consistently close runs by Kelly Pihl, Mallory Stiffler and Josh Haid.

The Belleville Motor Sports IMCA Northern Sportmods  once again put on an amazing show once green flag racing started. Shawn Harker started in the fifth row outside and worked his way to the front. Clay Hale led several laps only to be overtaken by Harker as the laps winded down. Rich Boyden,  Brian Neiberger and Mike Taylor rounded out the top five for the evening.

Heinen Repair Service IMCA Stock Cars took to the track and put on an on your feet show. Marvin Griffith Jr. must have had luck on his side tonight, as he had to pass more cars than anyone on the track. With two years since his last win, Matt Haid makes it back to our Pit Pass Liquor Victory Lane. Matt was followed closely by a hard charging Marvin Griffith Jr., Brian Labonte, Mike Nichols and Alvie Christofferson.

The BSB Manufacturing IMCA Modifieds took to the four tenths of a mile that make up Thunder Hill Speedway. Danny Holt started strong and led to just past the halfway point.  Allen Halderman using every inch of the racetrack, ran down Danny Holt for the win.  Scott Brown, Justin Becker and Tom Charles rounded out the top five battling for positions.

Racing resumes next Saturday night at the Xtreme Motor Sports Clash on the Hill with all five classes of IMCA racing putting on the best Saturday night racing show in Northeast Kansas.  Next Week Thunder Hill Speedway welcomes Belleville Motor Sports to the track and it’s the first of three “Ladies Nights.” Bring a friend, a cooler, and remember ALL ladies in FREE!!!
